Waggs is growing up (almost 4 months)

Waggs sure is growing up fast! She's still in puppy class and is doing very well. She knows sit and lay down. She's also doing pretty good with stay, come and loose leash walking. She's so smart!

Waggs

I thought I'd share some pictures of my new puppy dog! Her name is Waggs and she's only 2 1/2 months old. She's already been spayed and she will be starting Polite Puppy classes at the Humane Society in a couple weeks. I brought her to South Bend a couple days ago and her and Trixie played together. It took a little bit for Trixie to get used to Waggs but they ended up getting along in the end. I'll post more pictures later.

Mall of America

Mom, Laura, Hannah and I went to the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota for Hannah's Spring Break. It was a lot of fun! We stayed at a really nice hotel too. It was a Marriott Residence and it was huge...just like the mall! It took us 3 whole days to get through the mall. We spent a day on each floor. And we needed it too. We arrived at the mall at 10:00 and usually left around 8:00. We bought lots of things at really good prices too! My favorite stores were Marshalls (a discount store with name brand things that were super cheap) and Archivers (a scrapbook store). At the end of our mall experience we all got manicures and pedicures (to help our ailing feet). I espcially had a good time with my family. It was nice to get all the girls together and spend some time with each other. I think it meant a lot to everyone. I don't think the boys would have appreciated all the shopping anyway. :-) Although they did have a nap store and a Nascar store that might have been useful if they guys would have come along. :-) We should definatley do it again though. Pretty soon I'll start getting travel discounts so I'm sure we can go to another groovy destination!

Cake, Yum-o

As Rachael Ray would say, "Yum-o!" Here is another cake I made after my third Wilton cake decorating class. This time I put frosting and coconut in the middle. At the end of this class we learned how to make the famous Wilton rose. I've included a picture of the first rose I ever made. Isn't it cute? It was yummy too! I only have one more class. I'll have to take the next couse later. Are these cakes possibly new ideas for holiday gift?

Wilton St. Patrick's Day Cake

Here is the first cake I made from the Wilton cake decorating class. I filled the middle of the cake with apricot preserves. It was yum-o. I thought I'd go with the St. Patrick's Day theme since it was right around that time.

Groovy Afghan

Hello everyone! I completed another project. I just got done with crocheting an afghan. I started it after Christmas and I just got done, but it didn't really take a whole 3 months, because there were a couple times when I hadn't worked on it for a while. But I'm done with it so I thought I'd show everyone. I'm excited because I just signed up for a Wilton cake decorating class at Michael's. It's for 4 Tuesday nights in March. Maybe I'll make some yummy cake for everyone during our next family event.

Things here in Indy are going good. I'm really happy with the job. It's a lot of work but it's definately not as stressful as my last job. And most importantly I actually work with a lot of smart people at this place. Most of the people at the animal hospital were pretty dumb. So, it's pretty refreshing to work with intellegent people. Zach is really liking his job too. For the same reason I am-smart people. Sushi is doing good down here too. She has a big patio window to watch out during the day time. Floppsie and Moppsie are doing good. They're still hopping along. It's almost thier time of year-Easter.

One Stroke Flower Pot

Here's another thing I made with the One Stroke painting technique. It's a flower pot! I'm not sure what my next project will be. Maybe a bird feeder or a shelf. We'll have to see!

One Stroke Grape Tray

With by Birthday gift certificate money for Michael's (thanks mom and dad) I took a One Stroke painting class. I got a One Stroke kit for Christmas but I hadn't done any projects by myself yet. I had just been practicing. So, I took the class to push me to start doing projects on my own. During the class I finished a grape tray. I painted the whole thing by myself. Pretty cool, huh? Maybe future presents for you guys. Who has the next birthday? :-) I'm about to make a flower pot with One Stroke flowers. I'll display a picture when I have that all finished. Hopefully sometime this weekend I'll have a chance to do that. The tray didn't take that long either. I finished it in about 30 minutes.

Here is a picture of Zach and I at the bowling alley. The bowling alley had a black light.

Before dinner we went to a place called Jillians. It has 3 floors in the building. The first floor is a restaurant, the second floor is a game rooms, and the third floor is a bowling alley (it also has a dance club but that doesn't open until 9:00 p.m.). We had some appetizers at the restaurant and then played a couple bowling games. Allison beat us all. Hannah said she wasn't used to the weight of the bowling ball (mm-hmm).

Mom, Dad, and Hannah came to Indy to celebrate my Birthday (oh yeah, it was for Dad's birthday too). For dinner we went to Rock Bottom. It was yum-o.

Here is a picture of a fancy wine bar that Zach and I went to for my birthday. The place was called Divine Wine. We each ordered a "Wine Flight", which was a sampling of 3 similiar wines. We also ordered a cheese, cracker, and fruit platter. The place was very chic. It was a lot of fun. And the wine was yummy too.

Sarah's B-Day

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. I have to have a lot of time on my hands to download a picture because of my slow internet. Anyway, I thought I'd send out a picture of my birthday. My cakes were so cute this year I wanted everyone to see.

Christmas 2005

Hannah and Laura are passing out presents on Christmas Eve. It's hard to believe the holidays are over, but they'll be here before we know it again.
